Committee Charge

The Accreditation Coordinating Committee leads efforts to maintain and strengthen the university's standing in the eyes of its accreditor, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). This involves responding to the WSCUC's explicit recommendations and required actions, maintaining compliance with their four standards of accreditation, and preparing the campus community for future accreditation-reaffirmation procedures.

As of fall 2024, the Accreditation Coordinating Committee has expanded to form the WSCUC 2026 Accreditation Steering Committee to see the university through WSCUC’s spring 2026 visit to reaffirm the university’s accreditation. The steering committee will be dissolved summer 2026, at which time the coordinating committee will resume its annual obligations.
