Important Dates & Deadlines, Fall 2023 Transfer Applicants

Very Important Reminders

  • Many applicants are provisionally admitted on the basis of self-reported courses and grades. If your final, official transcript(s) show that you do not meet the requirements for admission, your admission will be denied.
  • All admission requirements must be completed by the end of Spring term 2023. Summer courses cannot be used to meet admission requirements.
  • Regularly log into myHumboldt and check your To Do List to see any additional documents or actions required.
  • Humboldt uses email as the official form of communication. It is your responsibility to read all emails from Humboldt. If you ever need to update your email address with Humboldt, you may do so in the Personal Information section on your myHumboldt homepage.
  • Students are required to provide immunization records before attending Humboldt: wellbeing.humboldt.edu/immunizations
  • Certain majors at Cal Poly Humboldt are impacted at the transfer level and may use supplemental admissions criteria to admit transfer students. For more information on impaction, please visit: admissions.humboldt.edu/apply/impaction

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov or the Dream Act application at dream.csac.ca.gov

Be the first to submit an application for on-campus housing.

To complete a Housing application, log in to myHumboldt (my.humboldt.edu), choose the Support/Services tab at the top of the screen, then click on the myHousing button in Quick Links. 

Living space on campus is limited and not guaranteed to all students. Submit your completed Housing application ASAP to secure on-campus housing.


March 1, 2023*

Official college transcripts must be received in the Cal Poly Humboldt Admissions Office

  • If you are enrolled in college courses Fall 2022, tell your present college to include your final grades for Fall 2022 when they send your transcript to Admissions.
  • If you enroll in college courses Spring 2023, you will also need to make arrangements for those additional transcripts to be sent to Admissions as soon as final grades are posted.

Send electronic transcripts (preferred): Humboldt accepts electronic transcripts from eTranscript California, Credential Solutions, National Student Clearinghouse, Scrip-Safe, and Parchment. See our website for details: admissions.humboldt.edu/transcripts

First day to sign up for New Student Registration Tutorial

Participation in New Student Registration Tutorial is mandatory and includes advising on course registration. Be sure to regularly check your email for instructions on how to sign up! 

You will not be able to sign up for orientation until Humboldt has received and evaluated your official transcript(s) showing grades for all coursework through Fall 2022.

Accepting admission confirms your intent to enroll at Humboldt. Log into myHumboldt (my.humboldt.edu). Students must accept admission to move forward with registration. Follow the steps to completion.


May 1, 2023

New Student Registration Tutorial priority sign-up deadline

Participation in the session is mandatory and includes advising and course registration information. 

  • After you sign up for the online registration tutorial, a Degree Audit Report (DARS) will be prepared listing your transferable courses and how they will apply to your degree. The report will be ready for review during your tutorial.

Email communications regarding the on-campus orientation program will be sent to you just prior to the start date. You may also visit admissions.humboldt.edu/orientation/transfer for more information.
