"Overall, if we want to keep our students engaged then we have to be dynamic in the way we approach their learning."
I think more than anything it made me become more aware of different learning approaches that I would need to take to keep students engaged. Being that many students were stuck in front of a computer on Zoom or watching pre-recorded classes I wanted to get away from that. The alternative approach was using Podcast as a way for students to learn. I encouraged the students to listen to them while they were outside and being active (walking, running, hiking). It seemed to be a huge hit (discussions improved dramatically) and now much of the assignments I give have moved away from reading and have gone to listening.
