Teaching Excellence Symposium 2026
Call For Proposals
Educators are invited to share ideas, innovations, and experiences at the Fall 2026 Teaching Excellence Symposium, offered synchronously and asynchronously online. More information on the Conference page.
Rather than centering a predetermined theme, we welcome proposals that surface the questions, tensions, and possibilities shaping teaching and learning today — through purposeful pedagogy, reflective practice, and attention to the needs of both learners and educators.
We especially encourage submissions that highlight teaching as an evolving process and landscape, including experimentation, iteration, SoTL inquiry, long-term growth, and collaboration.
Have a strategy that works? Tried something new? Learned something the hard way? We’d love to hear it. Sessions can take many forms, including workshops, panels, demonstrations, digital posters, lightning talks…
Proposal Deadline: June 1st
Submit your proposal: Symposium Proposal link
Symposium: October 28, 2026

Time For Panopto Spring Cleaning

It has been very rewarding to see how Panopto, our lecture capture system and video editing platform, has been embraced by Cal Poly Humboldt. When we began in 2021 our license included unlimited storage for all video content. However, Panopto applied storage limits and now we need to reduce the hours stored on our system, before we run out of space. Therefore, we would like to encourage all Panopto users to do a little Spring cleaning and delete those meeting recordings and other videos that are no longer needed.
How to Use the Recycle Bin and Permanently Delete Recordings
It is easy to delete recordings, however if you need to hang on to some, we recommend downloading your video to another device. Here is how:
How to Download Videos from Panopto
How to Allow Others to Download Your Videos from Panopto
