Coleen L. Shade

Principal Planner and Tahoe office manager for R.O. Anderson, an engineering, planning and surveying firm located in Nevada and California. My work is mainly concentrated in the Tahoe basin and in the Sierra.
Married to David Fournier who is a forester with the USFS (University of Maine School of Forestry; our discussions about who has the better forestry school are always lively). We have two daughters; Larissa (16) and Sarah (12).
Brian Akre

I recently moved my family to The Hague to become senior speechwriter for the CEO and senior leadership of Royal Dutch Shell. I previously worked as head of Executive Speaker Services at Nokia in Finland. Earlier this year, I received a Cicero Speechwriting Award for a speech I wrote with Nokia's former CEO, which was delivered at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in 2010.
Robert Klamt

I retired in November from the N. Coast Water Quality Control Board after 35 years of service, including 8 months as the Executive Officer. My work was mostly in monitoring and assessment of our N. Coast waters, and more recently in working with the timber industry on water quality issues.
Erika Wright

I graduated from HSU in 2001 with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Ethnic Studies. Then I moved to London to do an MA in National and International Literatures in English at the University of London, School of Advanced Studies. HSU prepared me well for the next 10 years of my life where I lived, studied and worked in 4 different countries.
I lived and studied in both London and Berlin. Then I worked in Xi'an, China where I taught in the 1:2:1 program which brings Chinese students to Humboldt for 2 years. the past 2 years I have been living in Perth, Western Australia. I started teaching ESL to pre-literate refugees, am now I am working at Murdoch University and considering a PhD.

My wife, Sylvia and I are pleased to announce the birth of our first child, Nick. We continue to live and teach in Long Beach, CA.
Charles P. Meacham

After 50 years in Alaska (commercial fisherman, seafood processing, seafood inspector for U.S. Army, and 21 years with Dept. Fish and Game) moved to Gig Harbor, WA. Married to Charlene Heriot Meacham (also Humboldt grad) in 1969. Three children, 3 grandchildren.

Bob Lackey (Fisheries, '67) now teaches at Oregon State University. He has been engaged in developing online classes in natural resources as part of OSU ECampus.
