ITS Project Proposal Submission and Prioritization

Project Submission Cycle Information

Annually, the ITS Project Management Office invites the campus community to submit project proposals. Each proposal goes through our established ITS Project Submission and Prioritization process—a structured framework that helps us identify and select projects that best align with the University’s Strategic Plan, current priorities, and overall campus value.

Proposals are evaluated by the ITS Project Prioritization Steering Committee using a specialized scoring rubric. The results, along with an assessment of available ITS staff resources, inform a proposed project schedule. This schedule is submitted with the committee’s recommendations to the President’s Executive Cabinet.

It’s important to note:

  • A highly ranked project may still be delayed if needed resources or funding aren't immediately available.
  • A lower-ranked project might move forward sooner if it can be launched with currently available resources.

The President’s Executive Cabinet reviews the recommendations and makes final decisions on which projects will proceed, which may need further development, and which will not move forward at this time.

Investigating Campus Web Services - Limited Off-Campus Access (Other)

As mentioned yesterday, ITS has found no evidence that the vulnerability has compromised campus systems or that university data has been accessed or exposed. While we work on patching them, a few websites remain temporarily unavailable from off campus. All major campus systems including Canvas and Google are fully functional. We will provide further updates on a regular basis.

Investigating Service Interruption for create.humboldt.edu (Other)

The Domain of One's Own service by Reclaim Hosting (create.humboldt.edu) is currently unavailable. ITS is working with our hosting provider to investigate and restore service. We will provide an update when more information is available. Thank you for your patience.
