Cost: $50

    Dates

  • Mon., Oct. 13-20, 3-4:50 p.m.

Location: In person: Arcata

With Sarah Landis, PT, MS, WCS & Director, Cal Poly Humboldt Biomechanics Lab, & Justus Ortega, Associate Dean/Professor

Do you feel like you might be losing your ability to balance, and want to have your balance assessed? Join Dr. Ortega and his team from the Cal Poly Humboldt Biomechanics Lab for a day of balance and fall risk assessment.

The lab team will use a force-sensing platform and a series of stationary and dynamic balance tests to help determine your postural stability. OLLI members will be individually assessed and given personal results.

Then the instructors will meet with the full class to discuss the implications of reduced balance and provide strategies for improving stability and reducing the risk of falls.

Class #: 44081

Registration is now open for OLLI members. Non-members may register starting Sept. 3.
