In a world that often seems divided and polarized, we long for trust, communication and respect. Many of us are concerned about the rancor, discourse and fragmentation that we see in our families, workplaces and neighborhoods. We have lost a sense of community. We will explore simple ways to increase the sense of belonging, encourage dialogue and promote kindness, tolerance and understanding. Simple techniques, rituals and habits will help us create connections, form bonds of fellowship and truly see and hear other people. This class will look at ways to build community, civility and common good.
