Cyril Oberlander

Cyril Oberlander is dedicated to fostering lifelong learning, and curating a vibrant learning environment to positively transform lives, libraries, and learning. Currently serving as library dean at Cal Poly Humboldt since July 2014, Dean Oberlander previously served at libraries; SUNY Geneseo, University of Virginia Libraries, Portland State University, and as a consultant to public, academic, and special libraries. His interests include collaborative innovation and software development, space and service design, project based learning, library publishing and open pedagogy. His current projects include 3D Digital Herbarium, GIS Data Archive, Ask Alex Humboldt (AI), Career Skills Pathways Project, and Discovering Humboldt with Google Maps.
