Brown Bag Lunch Online Presentation with Charlie Narwold, Senior Engineering Geologist:

This presentation will review the different types of landslides and provide examples of different mitigation strategies.

Charlie Narwold is a senior engineering geologist with Caltrans Geotechnical Services. He was hired by Caltrans in 2000. He is a licensed professional geologist and certified engineering geologist in the State of California. He is the branch chief for the Geotechnical Services group in Eureka, and has served as chairperson of Caltrans state-wide landslide and rockfall technical teams. He has a bachelor’s degree in geological sciences from the University of Maine at Orono and a master’s degree in geology from Humboldt State University. Charlie is passionate about his work and is excited to share information regarding landslides in the North Coast Region.
