With Dick LaForge, Beekeeper
Designed for gardeners, nature lovers, and potential beekeepers, this short OLLI class is an introduction to European honey bee natural history and management.
Humans and honey bees have had a mutually beneficial relationship for thousands of years and are essential to agriculture. They have a fascinating social life which in many ways parallels our own. They are an introduction to the amazingly intelligent world of insects, and by extension, other life forms.
Interested persons can continue with the 12-week spring Extended Education classes: Practical Beekeeping and Bee Yard Experience.
Register by 12 p.m., October 31.
