OLLI Membership
Join OLLI!
OLLI at Humboldt membership is a great way to support lifelong learning. Become one in a thousand by helping OLLI reach its membership goal!
OLLI members become part of a learning community where they get to actively choose the types of courses they want, attend special events designed just for them, and have the option to propose to teach a class, in which they have special academic or professional expertise.
OLLI Membership Cost
OLLI membership is $35/year and runs July 1-June 30. Anyone age 18+ can join OLLI.
Current and retired Cal Poly Humboldt staff and faculty may join OLLI for only $25. NOTE: OLLI Instructors are not considered Cal Poly Humboldt staff or faculty unless currently employed by or retired from the university.
Please note that membership fees are not refundable.
OLLI Membership Benefits
OLLI memberships include the following benefits
First priority registration and discount
OLLI members get the first opportunity to register, and a discount on all OLLI classes.
They also get exclusive access to OLLI Special Interest Groups and other members-only classes and events.
Non-members pay $25 extra for each course, on top of the member fee listed on the OLLI website and in the OLLI course catalog. OLLI membership is only $35 a year, so if you see a class you want to take -- why not join today?
A Cal Poly Humboldt student ID card with library privileges
To get your student ID card:
- Wait approximately 24 hours for your student account to become active after you register.
- Go to the Cal Poly Humboldt library front desk and provide them your Humboldt ID number (Check the Library website for open hours). From there they will take your photo and print your ID card.
Your student ID card allows you to:
- check out Cal Poly Humboldt Library materials (CSU Interlibrary loan services are not available)
- access all library-hosted databases only while logged into campus wifi or from a campus computer (databases cannot be accessed from off campus).
Cal Poly Humboldt Bookstore discounts
OLLI members are entitled to discounts on computers and software at the Cal Poly Humboldt Bookstore.
Ask in-store for the most up-to-date student/academic discounts available on hardware and software.
The Cal Poly Humboldt Campus Bookstore is an Apple products authorized campus store.
Email Account and Student Center Access
OLLI members receive a Cal Poly Humboldt email account and can access the Student Center through myHumboldt.
To get your email access: Call Cal Poly Humboldt's Technology Help Center (ITS): (707) 826-4357.
Have your student ID ready, if possible.
Tell ITS that you are an OLLI member looking to activate a Cal Poly Humboldt email address.
They will assist you with the process.
Option to Purchase a Jack Pass
The Jack Pass provides free bus rides at a discounted rate of $60 per semester for unlimited access on AMRTS, Redwood Transit and Eureka Transit System.
The Jack Pass is available only to those OLLI members who are registered for at least one fee-based class.
Purchase your Jack Pass at the Cal Poly Humboldt Cashier's office.
Option to use Cal Poly Humboldt Student Recreation Center
OLLI members may use the Cal Poly Humboldt Student Recreation Center for an additional $65 per term.
The Student Recreation Center offers a diverse range of training, fitness, and recreational activities, along with friendly staff, comprehensive facilities, and an inclusive atmosphere.
Option to Subscribe to the OLLI Newsletter by Email
Members have the option to subscribe to the weekly OLLI at Humboldt Newsletter by email. Each week, you'll get the latest information on what's happening in OLLI at Humboldt. The newsletter also includes helpful reminders, class spotlights, special event details, and much more.
Option to propose to teach an OLLI course
If you are an OLLI member and have expertise and passion for a particular area, and want to share that with a motivated group of learners, you can propose to teach an OLLI course.
OLLI courses have no homework or tests, and the most successful courses are those which are interactive and respect and include the life experience of the participants.
