Jake Verschuyl

Research Associate

Jake Verschuyl is the Director of Forestry Research for the Western U.S. and B.C. for NCASI or the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement. He holds a PhD in Ecology and Environmental Science from Montana State University (2007) and completed his undergraduate degree in Wildlife Management at Cal Poly Humboldt (2000). For more than two decades, Jake has led applied research on biodiversity and ecosystem responses to contemporary forest management. At NCASI, he oversees a multidisciplinary research program focused on wildlife, biodiversity, sustainability, and aquatic ecosystems across managed forests of the Pacific Northwest.
