Kirby Mills

Lecturer

My research interests focus on applied large mammal & carnivore ecology (particularly in response to global change and human pressures), predator-prey interactions, and spatial & landscape ecology. I explore these topics using spatial modeling techniques for wildlife monitoring data to understand species distributions, habitat use, and ecological dynamics. I have conducted research on African large carnivores and human-lion conflict, multi-trophic large mammal responses to fire and drought in the American West, and the distributions of California Channel Island foxes.
