Dear Colleagues,
There are just 2 days before the WSCUC Accreditation Review Team Site Visit!
The university has traveled a transformative journey over the past several years, and certainly since WSCUC last came to visit us. I am very excited about this opportunity for our campus and community members to demonstrate Humboldt’s genuine sense of community in shared service to our students and each other and our optimistic anticipation for the future of the university. I hope that each of you feel proud of yourself and your colleagues for the work being done at Humboldt–we have so much to be proud of! And yet, the journey goes on; how we show up for this site visit will help shape our journey forward into the next decade. We are Rooted & Rising Together.

Refreshments will be provided.
If you have not yet cast your vote for the Rooted & Rising Together door and bulletin board decorating contest, cast your vote(s) before 5 pm today using this form: Door & Bulletin Board Decoration Voting Form
Modern Campus Curriculum is Open for New Proposals
(MCC/Curriculog) has been reopened for new proposals as of March 30, 2026, with updated workflows and proposal forms in place. As we enter proposal submission season, this Wednesday, April 15, 2026 is the priority deadline for new curriculum proposals. All new submissions should use the updated MCC forms to support a clear and efficient review process. Faculty planning proposals are encouraged to review the Curriculum Development resources and, if possible, connect with the Curriculum Office for guidance prior to submission.
Celebrate Earth Week & Sustainability with Your Campus Community!
Earth Week is next week, April 20-25, 2026. Students, staff, and faculty are invited to come together in celebration of this global movement dedicated to raising awareness and driving action for our planet’s stewardship. Help us kick-off Earth Week at Coffee for Commuters on Monday April 20th. First, try an alternative way to get to campus than driving, e.g. walk, bike, public transportation, or carpool. Second, bring your reusable travel mug to one of the two locations on Monday to get free coffee and a breakfast bite (gf option available). We’ll have tables by the parking kiosk in the G11 lot and on the Balbanis House lawn near Library Circle.
Math & Data Science Colloquium: Thursday, April 16, 2026
