Testing Center Information: Final’s Week

The Testing Center wants to maximize the limited number of seats available to schedule during Finals Week and have set up designated times that may be reserved. Please note that seats are limited and the Testing Center is already currently full for Monday December 15, 2025 and Wednesday December 17, 2025. Please see the table below to inform scheduling:

  • Please submit requests at least two days prior to the Final Date. 

  • Scheduling for Monday and Tuesday Finals must be made the Friday prior.

  • Exams may be dropped off at the Testing Center in the Lower Library (RM 13)

Reminder: Call for Spring 2026 Faculty Fellows for the Cultural Centers for Academic Excellence (CCAE)

The Division of Enrollment Management & Student Success (EMSS) is still accepting applications for a one-semester Cultural Centers for Academic Excellence Faculty Fellow position for Spring 2026. Faculty who are interested in supporting and enriching the academic excellence of students at Cal Poly Humboldt who identify with the Cultural Centers for Academic Excellence (CCAEs) are encouraged to apply. There are three fellow positions available in the Dreamer Center, ADPIMENA Center, and Q Center.

Duties: The Faculty Advisor will be responsible for supporting students in successfully navigating higher ed academically, socially, and professionally in a culturally affirming way by providing direct, ongoing academic advising to students in the designated affinity center, including academic plans; includes regular interface with faculty advisors, the financial aid office, the registrar, transfer programs, and scholarships. Co-assesses students' time to degree, supporting CCAE programming, and addressing areas of concern in pursuit of individual students’ success. 

Preferred Qualifications: This position is open to Cal Poly Humboldt faculty in any discipline who have demonstrated experience advising students in culturally affirming ways. Preference will be given to faculty who have served the affinity population for the position being sought: Dreamer Center, ADPIMENA Center or Q Center. 

Application: Please submit a one-page letter of interest that includes a discussion of the specific Center of interest and a brief CV to Ravin.Craig@humboldt.edu as soon as possible. The Office of Academic Affairs will ensure that selected candidates are in good standing before hire.  

Compensation: The incumbent will receive six WTUs of assigned time for the spring 2026 semester. Pending budget availability, there may be an opportunity to reapply for the 2026/27 academic year.

Call for Nominations for the McCrone Promising Faculty Scholars Award

Sponsored Programs Foundation is pleased to request nominations for the McCrone Promising Faculty Scholars Award for Cal Poly Humboldt faculty members. This fund was created to honor Dr. and Mrs. McCrone, who together supported Cal Poly Humboldt and its students for over a quarter of a century. This award will recognize Humboldt’s newer faculty, acknowledge their potential in their field of research, and encourage their continued achievement. Additionally, nominations are open for the Alistair and Judith McCrone Graduate Fellowship, which recognizes one outstanding graduate student. 

Tenured/Tenure track faculty members from all fields who have received their terminal degrees within the last seven years and who are actively involved in research are eligible. Nominations for the award are sought from the campus community and will consist of a no-more than two-page letter indicating the nominee’s qualifications for the award. Eligible faculty may self-nominate. 

Nomination letters are submitted through our online portal which can be accessed through this link: Engagement Hub. Locate the Alistair & Judith McCrone Graduate Fellowship Award title and select Apply for the full details and nomination portal. Nominations are due by Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 11:59 pm. The Planning Committee for Research, Scholarship, & Creative Activities in collaboration with one previous Scholar of the Year will select up to three award recipients in Spring 2026. Award announcements will be sent out by April 15, 2026.
