WSCUC Accreditation Site Visit Launch Event: Wednesday, March 4, 2026, 11:30 am to 1 pm
Join us in the Kate Buchanan Room (SAC 225) for the campus-wide accreditation site visit launch event designed to prepare, inform, and inspire engagement in the WSCUC Accreditation Reaffirmation site visit process. This interactive session builds shared understanding of accreditation and prepares our campus community for the upcoming WSCUC site visit and open forums, which will be held Wednesday and Thursday, April 15th and 16th, 2026. All campus employees are invited to attend the Launch Event, including student employees. Lunch will be provided!

Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series: Dale Oliver, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, 5 to 7 pm
Join us for the first of the upcoming talks with Dr. Dale Oliver, recipient of the Outstanding Service Award on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, 5-7:00 pm, in the Great Hall. Dr. Oliver’s lecture is titled: Opportunities Abound for Service to the Common Good.

Staff Recognition Award Nominations: Submit Your Nominations by Tuesday, March 10, 2026
Staff Council and Administrative Affairs are welcoming nominations for both state and auxiliary employees for the annual Staff Recognition Awards to recognize the strengths and achievements of individual staff, especially highlighting innovation, mentorship, service, resource stewardship/sustainability, and ethics/social justice. Please take a few moments to nominate a staff colleague who you believe has made a notable impact on the university and the people they work with, using this link: Nomination Submission Link. The nomination form closes Tuesday, March 10th, 2026.
California State University Social Science Research and Instructional Council (CSU SSRIC)
Humboldt’s representative to the CSU SSRIC would like to share the following information and opportunities:
CSU SSRIC Winter 2026 Newsletter: The newsletter highlights several opportunities and updates, including a redesigned SSRIC website, new teaching exercises, the ICPSR Summer Program stipends
Invitation to Students to Register for the Social Science Student Symposium (S4) at Fresno State: Undergraduate and graduate social sciences students are invited to present their original research to their peers. The deadline for registration is Friday, March 27, 2026. The day-long event will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026
The Instructional Materials Project Request for Proposals: The Instructional Materials Project RFP invites CSU faculty to submit proposals for classroom-ready data analysis exercises to be posted on the SSRIC website, with up to two awards of $3,000. Proposals are due Friday, March 20, 2026
