Dear Colleagues,
I am excited to see many of you at today’s WSCUC Accreditation Site Visit Launch Event!
Please join us for lunch, community, interactive activities, and a shared sense of accreditation inspiration as we prepare for our upcoming site visit. Bring your colleagues — and your student assistants — to the Kate Buchanan Room (KBR, SAC 225) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a campus community, learn more about the reaffirmation process, and celebrate the meaningful work happening across Cal Poly Humboldt.
But wait — there’s more!
I also hope you will join us this evening for the Distinguished Faculty Lecture featuring Dr. Dale Oliver, recipient of the Outstanding Service Award, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. in the Great Hall. Dr. Oliver’s lecture, Opportunities Abound for Service to the Common Good, promises to be an inspiring reflection on the role of service in fulfilling our shared purpose.
“Lucky to Be” Staff Event: Tuesday, March 10, 2026
Staff Council invites staff and administrators to the Lucky to Be event on Tuesday, March 10th from 12:00–1:30 p.m. in the Banquet Hall (SAC 131, located between the Depot and the Cypress Dorms). Food & drinks will be provided as well as a craft station to write a note of gratitude to a co-worker. Brighten someone's day by reminding them why you're Lucky to Be connected to them! Staff Council will hand-deliver the notes Thursday, March 12, 2026, spreading a little extra appreciation and encouragement across campus.
