Kristina Devenport
Academic Advisor
Kristina grew up in New York City, where she earned her degree in Biology (with a minor in Education) at Queens College. She went on to complete a Master’s in Population and Conservation Biology at Texas State University, publishing research on endangered salamanders along the way. She’s also worked with the U.S. Geological Survey in Oregon, where her fieldwork included kayaking rivers to study frogs and turtles!
Before joining us, Kristina spent nearly ten years teaching science and special education at Eureka High School. She’s especially passionate about helping students succeed in and out of the classroom while sharing her love of science.
When she’s not advising, Kristina enjoys family time, exploring nature, gardening, and hanging out with her pets.
