LSEE Advising Partner

LSEE Program Coordinator

I serve as the Coordinator and Academic Advisor for Liberal Studies Elementary Education (LSEE) students. I began my work with the School of Education as a lecturer and supervisor and have since expanded my role to support future educators through program coordination, advising, and community partnerships.

I earned a B.A. in Spanish Literature, and a teaching credential and M.A. in Language Immersion Education from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Over the course of more than 20 years in education, I have taught across multiple K–12 grade levels in a variety of settings. My teaching career began in San Diego as a German immersion and Spanish language enrichment teacher and my career has taken me internationally, including teaching in Germany, New Zealand and Costa Rica. Locally, I taught at Fuente Nueva Charter School for many years.

As an advisor, I look forward to getting to know students, learning about their goals, and supporting them throughout their educational journey. Whether navigating degree requirements, placement in local schools, credential pathways, or career aspirations, I enjoy helping future educators find their way through the rewarding, challenging, and wild world of teaching.
