Birding (or bird watching) can range from casual observations in your yard to “listing” and worldwide travel. This course provides in-class introduction to the equipment, materials, apps and online resources needed to begin the infectious hobby of birding. A same-week field trip to the Arcata Marsh will provide opportunities to practice and improve observational skills, with a focus on local avifauna. Intended for beginning birders.
Register by 12 p.m., July 9.
