Description
Brown Bag Lunch Online Presentation with Marilyn Tucker, Retired Educator & World Traveler & Jane Woodward, OLLI Instructor:
Take a 15-day virtual trip to explore Costa Rica including its Central Valley, its Monteverde cloud forest along the Continental Divide, and its farms and wildlife preserves on both the Pacific and Caribbean coasts. We launch from San Francisco to arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica’s capital. We then explore and experience its many preserves featuring a vast variety of trees, plants, birds, amphibians, and butterflies; plus land and marine animals such as monkeys, 2-toed and 3-toed sloths and sea turtles, and reptiles such as crocodiles & iguanas. We visit family-owned plantations growing coffee, bananas, and pineapples; and traverse grassland farms raising cattle and sheep. We take boat rides along canals to access otherwise inaccessible tropical forested areas. Come along for the ride on this pictorial ecotour.
Jane Woodward (M.Ed, MPA, JD) has been a social science researcher, analyst and program developer for over 45 years. In recent years, she has focused on developments in brain research and integrative medicine, economic and community development, and lifestyle changes in response to climate change.
