Brown Bag Lunch Online Presentation with Lynn McKenna, Chair of Media, Sponsorship, and Senior/Youth committees, Redwood Music Festival; Chair, 2025 Humboldt Walk To End Alzheimer's:

Are you looking for something new to do or wanting to make a difference in your community? Lynn McKenna will share how and why she is involved with the Redwood Coast Music Festival, and what part she plays in that nonprofit organization today. She will also talk about her involvement in the Humboldt County Walk To End Alzheimer's, Humboldt Sponsors, and the California Retired Teachers. There will be time for questions and interactive dialogue.

Redwood Coast Music Festival is a local nonprofit that has presented a four-day music festival in the Humboldt community for 32 years. Website: rcmfest.org.

The Humboldt Walk To End Alzheimer's is a nonprofit that raises funds for research, eduction and support to find a cure for Alzheimer's and all other dementias. Website: alz.org/humboldtwalk.

Humboldt Sponsors is a local nonprofit that has raised over $3,00,000 to support local youth activities. Website: humboldtsponsors.org

Lynn McKenna is a Eureka native, attended St Bernard's K-12, graduated from Humboldt State University in 1969 with a B.A. in history and started teaching for Eureka City Schools in fall of that year. She taught almost every grade for 34 years with kindergarten being her favorite. She has two sons and five grand children. She has traveled the world extensively and is passionate about her involvement with Redwood Coast Music Festival, The Humboldt Walk To End Alzheimer's, Humboldt Sponsors, and Retired Teachers. She encourages others to get involved in one of the many local organizations and nonprofits in this community.
