Julie Stewart moved to Humboldt County to give it that “old college try” 15 years ago, and never looked back. A supporter of local businesses, an outdoor enthusiast, and proud not-from-here-but-close-enough Humboldtian, she’s made a hobby of noticing the tiny details that make a place truly special: warm atmosphere, friendly faces, fresh ingredients, screamin’ deals, and that one burger people drive miles to experience on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Equal parts nosy and nostalgic, Julie has collected opinions like old buttons in a drawer -- there’s plenty to go around, they might never come in handy, but they might be valuable to someone, someday.
