The Science of Everyday Things

Delve into the science of daily life, including weather, pressure, heat, sound waves and musical instruments, electromagnetic waves such as radio waves, colors, forces, gravity, and basic astronomy.

Learn why the sky is blue and why sunsets are red, and how rainbows form. Find out what causes the weather and how atmospheric pressure can affect our daily lives. Explore what heat and sound are, and discover the science of motion and the importance of Newton’s Laws of Motion. A brief introduction to astronomy will include the Solar System, phases of the moon, stars, planets, black holes, the universe, and more.

This course includes hands-on activities, experiments, demonstrations, and props.
