We are accepting submissions for the following genres:

  • Fiction Novels relevant to the North Coast
  • Non Fiction Research
  • Scholarly Monographs
  • Biographies of Notable Figures
  • Children's Stories relevant to the North Coast
  • Art to be considered for Children's Books
  • Printed Music
  • Role Playing Games

 

 

Submission Guidelines

Proposal requirements:

  • Manuscript title
  • Contact information
  • Description/abstract (no more than 300 words)
  • Entire text OR chapter outline and sample text
  • Cover letter addressing why you were driven to write this, what makes your manuscript unique, who is your audience, and how do you hope it will impact them.

Evaluation criteria:

We publish works of academic relevance, exceptionally unique experiences, and subjects that reflect the spirit of the Pacific Northwest community.

  • Quality of the writing, images (400dpi minimum), illustrations, argument, narrative, and/or organization
  • Support of the mission and vision of the Press at Cal Poly Humboldt
  • Uniqueness, usefulness, value, and impact, and/or pertaining to North Western California

    We are under no obligation to accept works, even if they fit all criteria.
