Research Interests: Rural sociology, economic sociology, job market trends, liminality, inequality & stratification, popular culture
Bio: As the Career Advisor for students in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, I am passionate about supporting the success of our students and alumni as they navigate a difficult job market to find meaningful employment. Ultimately, would love to see the fall of capitalism, but in the meantime, I believe that financial freedom is a human right. My research interests incorporate topics of emotionality, liminality, and cultural capital wealth models with data surrounding the inequality that the job market and economic trends perpetuate, especially for rural settings. My career goals are all over the place and include teaching and increasing support for career development, economic development, and rural policy.
