Before the Program
Originally from Santa Ana, I moved to Humboldt in 2016 where I received my undergraduate degree from HSU in 2018 majoring in cultural anthropology and minoring in both Native American studies and journalism. After graduating I stayed up here and began working as a teacher at a local K-8 school, eventually making my way back to campus with a job in the Dean of Students office in 2023. In my current role at Cal Poly Humboldt, I provide programming support to the CARE and Basic Needs programs, as well as auxiliary support to various Dean of Students program initiatives.

Why Cal Poly Humboldt Public Sociology?
My undergraduate degree combined with my work experience on campus led me to pursuing my masters in Public Sociology so that I can return to what I love and be in a classroom again as a professor.

Favorite Place to See/Visit in Humboldt County
Avenue of the Giants, the lupin fields in the springtime, and College Cove beach.
