Emphasis: Teaching sociology 

Research interests: cross generational & perpetuating cycles of poverty, immigration policy & movements, environmental justice, decolonization & the choice/balance between dismantling or restructuring social systems. 

Education Career goals: To become a professor. To assess community needs & design and implement plans to address them. 

Before the program: In 2020 I completed a BA in environmental studies with an emphasis in science for sustainable communities.  I havespent the past 5 years collecting data for environmental research programs, conducting prescribed burns with tribal nations, and restoring fire damaged habitat.  

Why Humboldt: Humboldt has become my home over the past 2 years. I want to show my appreciation for my experiences here by learning from & enriching the environment and vibrant communities which define it.
