Outdoor equity, environmental justice, and diversity in the outdoor recreation industry.

Before the Program

I've been fortunate to work in some of the most beautiful natural spaces in the United States while serving as a liaison for communities of color taking their first steps into the great outdoors. From piloting the first Diversity Internship Cohort Program at Rocky Mountain National Park to designing environmental stewardship programs for students in my home community of Los Angeles, my passion is to connect people with nature.

Education and Career Goals

To establish the first ecotourism agency serving Los Angeles' environmentally discriminated communities.

Why HSU Public Sociology?

The faculty and community at Humboldt have been receptive to my passions and have offered support to help me achieve my goals. I appreciate being part of a community that is dedicated to lifting each other up and being the change we want to see.
