Canvas Training for Humboldt Users

The Center for Teaching & Learning offers self-paced online trainings to help both instructors and students navigate Canvas and other educational technologies. These courses are available for self-enrollment at your convenience.

Student Trainings

Learning 101 is a 2-3 hour orientation course for incoming and transfer students. This course is designed to prepare students for effective communication, motivation, finding technical and academic support resources, and using Canvas and other online tools to learn effectively.

The CTL instructional development hub is full of resources on instructional design, pedagogical best practices, and technology implementation to create engaging, effective learning experiences for your students. DesignPLUS is an integrated Canvas tool that helps instructors organize and design their course content. This introductory course teaches instructors to utilize sidebar tools, leverage template designs, and design content that is mobile responses.
