Introduction
Quizzes in Canvas are assignments that can be used to challenge student understanding and assess comprehension of course material. Quizzes can also be used to conduct and moderate exams and assessments, both graded and ungraded.

Note: if you teach a course that involves numbers in any way from simple addition up through advanced algebra and trigonometry, please take a few minutes and view the Numerical Answer and Formula (simple formula and single variable) question types.

Canvas allows you to moderate quizzes in such a way that you can extend the test-taking time or number of attempts for one person and not everyone.
