Hospitality & Amenities

During the summer months, the Housing Desk transforms into the Conference Center and provides a home base for our guests attending conferences or staying on campus.

Third floor of the Jolly Giant Commons*

*May vary by group, check with your conference director.

When participants come to check in, they will be greeted and asked what conference they are attending and their name. The staff person will then give the guest their packet including:

  • Room number and hall
  • Room key card and meal card (one card)
  • Welcome brochure
  • Parking permit (If pre-purchased)

Third floor of the Jolly Giant Commons.

Check out is at the Conference Desk. Please return your room key and any equipment you’ve borrowed upon check out.

A standard linen package is included in the package rate for most Conference groups. Bedrooms are made up with a blanket, pillow, top sheet, bottom sheet, bath towel, washcloth, hand towel, and a bar of soap. Daily housekeeping is not provided for individual rooms.

Our staff will ensure that all public areas and bathrooms are cleaned frequently.

Housekeeping thoroughly cleans each room after our guests depart, preparing it for the next guests' arrival. Missing linens or damages are recorded and charged to the guest as needed.

Upon departure, the Lessee will be charged replacement costs for missing items: pillows $5.00 each, blankets $25.00 each, towels $5.00 each, hand towels $1.50 each, wash cloth $0.75 each, linens $15.00 each.

During the summer season, the Conference Desk in the Jolly Giant Commons is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm daily. The desk can be reached by calling (707) 826-3451 or 3451 from any campus phone.

Staff is on-call during the night and will respond to emergencies along with University Police.

Conference staff will assist with all conference group check-ins and check-outs.

The Conference staff is available for any questions the guest may have about their stay and about the area. We have local maps available as well as campus maps and off-campus housing lists for those who are interested. Check out our visitors info table  for things to do or restaurants in the area.

Guests who lose their key-card will need to report the loss to the Conference desk and request a replacement. Keys can be hole-punched and  and put onto or in a Conference lanyard, available at the desk.

Guests may request an additional blanket or exchange their towel for a clean, dry one.

Clothes hangers, reading lamps or hair dryers may be checked out from the Conference desk.

Lost and found items are kept at the Conference desk. Items left behind in bedrooms will be kept and logged for 30 days, and then donated or disposed of.

The desk maintains records of who is on campus and what room they are residing in. This information is kept in a secure location and kept confidential. It is essential that we have the most updated information at all times, in the case of an emergency.
