Scholarly Teaching Projects

The Faculty Learning Community (FLC) on Scholarly Teaching will offer faculty at all ranks the opportunity to produce evidence of teaching effectiveness that goes beyond student evaluations in order to ultimately support student success and outcomes.

Findings from faculty SoTL projects can be used as evidence of scholarly teaching in promotion and tenure reviews, contract renewals, and for data-informed improvement of future course offerings.

Faculty Stories

Faculty Learning Community on Ungrading

This showcase highlights instructors' exploration of the opportunities and challenges of Ungrading— an approach that includes a variety of ways to evaluate students' learning while removing the anxiety of a grade, hence putting the focus on learning. The goal of each project engaged discovery by trying new approaches, sharing with colleagues, and creating opportunities for ongoing critical reflection of practice.
