Theatre Professor Rae Robison has been invited and will attend the Dorothy Richard's Educators Luncheon and Roundtable at UCLA on June 2, 2019. The event, hosted by Deborah Nadoolman-Landis (costume designer of Indiana Jones among others), facilitates best practices in teaching Costume Design for Film & Television.

Harry Liddic received a certificate of honor and 5th Place Short Screenplay in the CSU Media Arts Festival for The Battle of Tewkesbury. This script was developed in FILM 350 Writing for Film with Prof. David Scheerer. Harry is in the over 60s program at HSU.

Roman Sanchez – HSU Theatre Arts Senior

At the National Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, held in Washington, D.C., Roman Sanchez was honored to receive the ASTEP scholarship - an all expense paid trip to attend the Artist as Citizen Conference at Juilliard this summer. He also received the National Arts Impact Award (Cash prize, all-expense-paid trip back to DC to speak on behalf of arts activism to Congress).

As a bonus he was able to be mentored by Deans of YALE's School of Theatre Management, Vicki Nolan & Kelvin Dinkins Jr., and have powerful, one-on-one conversations with Jane Alexander, David Saar, Jorge Huerta, Luis Valdez, and many other nationally-recognized lea

Sarah Peters directed The Grasshopper and the Aunt at the Arcata Playhouse. The show is in a theatre style known as British Pantomime, which is a form of comedy that's been around for 300 years.
