Andrew Kreamer, 2014 Education, is now a behavior interventionist at a K-8 school. Kreamer enjoys the opportunity to engage in 1-to-1 teaching.

Stephanie Rosier

Psychology, 2014

After graduating from HSU, Stephanie worked as a Senior Advocate at Humboldt Domestic Violence Services for two years and as a Shelter Coordinator at YWCA Glendale. She then worked as an Early Recovery Specialist at Aegis Treatment Centers in Ventura, CA, and two years ago, she moved to Missoula, MT, where she worked as a county Mental Health Coordinator. She loves the nature-focused culture of Montana but misses the redwoods! Humboldt State University provided her with many experiences and tools that have helped her build her career and give back to the community, and she will always be grateful. 

Jessica Taatjes

Oceanography, 2014

Jessica Taatjes, 2014 Oceanography, joined AmeriCorps VISTA with the California State University after graduation. Taatjes currently works with COAST (Council on Ocean Affairs, Science & Technology) conducting student engagement across the CSU.

Justine Quijano

Art, Liberal studies: child development, 2014

Justine Quijano, 2014 Art, moved back to Southern California, had a child, and finally applied to grad school. Now, she is finally on her way to start her master's program. All happened a little out of order but like her sorority sisters said, she is a "Luchadora" for a reason. She is making her way back to her career goals at Marylhurst University, where she'll work toward my masters in art therapy.

Holly Leopardi

Physics & Astronomy, 2014

Holly Leopardi, 2014 Physics & Astronomy, recently won first place for her paper "Er:fiber frequency comb for synthesis of optical frequencies at the 10^-18 level," at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Photonics National Conference. Leopardi is currently a graduate student at the University of Colorado, Boulder, conducting research in optical frequency comb development at the Time and Frequency Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology with Scott Diddams. She is a student member of the IEEE, anda recipient of the 2016 National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship.

Aneesh Kumar KV

Fisheries Biology, 2014

Aneesh Kumar, Fisheries Biology, 2014, is currently working as Project Scientist at Centre for Marine Living Resources and Ecology. Their area of research is Eco-morphology of deep sea fishes and Otoliths.

Everardo Cuevas

English, 2014

Everardo Cuevas, 2014 English, has been accepted into the master's program in Critical Studies in Literacy and Pedagogy at Michigan State University. Additionally, he has been awarded an Academic Achievement Graduate Assistantship (AAGA) from the College of Arts & Letters at MSU. This assistantship, which recognizes leadership potential and is offered to only two percent of graduate assistants, will provide two years of full funding toward the master's degree.

Sophia Remer

International Studies, Minors in Spanish & Anthropology, 2014

Sophia Remer, International Studies, 2014, went on to culinary school in Sonoma County after graduating from HSU and worked as a professional baker. She has recently moved to Pittsburgh, PA with her partner (also a Humboldt graduate) who is getting his phD in Pollination Biology. Remer is applying to the Master of Arts in Food Studies with an MBA dual degree program from Chatham University to combine her backgrounds in food and cultural studies.

Mary Locher

Elementary Education (Liberal Studies), 2014

Mary Locher, 2012 English, 2014 Education, earned her SB2042 teaching credential and worked as a substitute teacher. In April, Locher joined HSU's Sponsored Programs Foundation as an academic advisor in the Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Program (GEAR UP).

Since leaving HSU Jon Mann, Biological Sciences, 2014, has created and launched his own business, a laboratory calibration company.
