As a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), I have access to a number of supports and resources that are beneficial when working with our trans, gender non-conforming and gender non-binary student population.
A recent addition to the CAPS services is our Eco-therapy group. It has been a joy to be part of the team that developed this program and I am grateful to CAPS and HSU administration for supporting this endeavor.
A third area of focus is participating in the CAPS Dialectical Behavioral Therapy team. This team is comprised of a group of staff psychologists and psychotherapists who offer individual and skills building workshops, targeting emotional and relational regulation.

Areas of Interest
I primarily use a person-centered approach to help build a therapeutic relationship in which people feel safe to share openly and honestly. I aim to provide person-centered care by meeting clients where they are at and helping them with whatever issue they bring through the door. I also like to incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help people identify their values and consider how they can pursue a life more aligned with those values. I also take a special interest in providing harm reduction, LGBTQ+ affirming, and culturally competent care.Personal Interests:I enjoy exploring the beauty of Humboldt by going to the beach, forest, and river. Some of my favorite physical activities include hiking, backpacking, and swimming. I like to unwind by listening to music, watching tv, and playing video games.- MA, Counseling Psychology, Cal Poly Humboldt
