Daryn Nimmo (he/him), LMFT
Training Director & Staff Psychotherapist
My name is Daryn Nimmo, and I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2012. I feel honored to support clients across the lifespan as they navigate a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and relational challenges.
Before joining CAPS in 2025, I spent many years working in a variety of mental health settings in our local community. I managed a large residential facility serving individuals living with severe mental illness, managed the local Psychiatric Health Facility, Sempervirens, and provided outpatient therapy through a community clinic. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with people at many different points in their mental health journeys and have deepened my appreciation for each person’s unique strengths and capacity for growth.
I am certified in Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy and have experience providing Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, and PTSD. My clinical interests include supporting 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, mindfulness-based therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS/“parts work”), and mind-body practices such as Qi Gong.
