Kate Schiff (She/Her), PA

I am originally from Denver Colorado and have lived in various cities in New England. In 2019 I moved to Humboldt, and feel that the redwoods, ocean and our mountains here are my happy place. I am passionate about all things food - cooking, clinical nutrition, policy, food culture - and enjoy reading (romantasy and fiction are my favorite genres), art, music, hiking, biking and travel. I am also a devoted dog mom and you might see me walking my dogs around campus at lunch (please say hi!).

I was a nontraditional student and did not start college until I was 30, having spent my 20's traveling and working. I earned a BS in Human Nutrition and Dietetics and minored in anthropology at Metropolitan State College of Denver. I attended graduate school to be a physician assistant at Quinnipiac University, where I had the honor of being accepted into the Urban Service Track (UST)/Area Health Scholars program through Quinnipiac and the University of Connecticut. It was the highlight of my training and I have been able to continue working with UST as an alumni board member, as adjunct faculty and admissions support person over the years since graduating. 

Medicine at all life stages is interesting and I really enjoy working with emerging adults. My goal as a medical provider is for you to feel seen and heard and for you to leave your visit feeling like you understand your health related concern and have had your questions answered.
