Barbara Klessig
Lecturer - Archaeology
Barb is an archaeologist, specializing in textiles, burials, experimental/experiential archaeology, the archaeology of gender and household, landscape and environmental archaeology in Europe, Scandinavia and the British Islands. She has been involved in Cultural Resource Management in the San Francisco Bay area, Sacramento Valley and Sierra Foothills. After receiving her undergraduate degree in Anthropology/Archaeology and a masters in Environment & Community from Cal Poly Humboldt, she started lecturing at Humboldt and has been on faculty part-time for the past several years. She is also the co-director of the Geospatial Archaeology Research Center (GARC).
