I am the project manager (country director) for Uganda Village Project. A non-profit orgainzation decited to improving the quality of life for citizens in the villages that make up the Iganga District. We have programs in well construction, nets, fistula repair, among others.
Gordon L. Bussell

Gordon L. Bussell, 2006 Native American Studies, is working to revitalize the Hupa language by teaching teachers in the Early Childhood Program. Bussell is also working to create a first-level immersion program targeting 0-6 year-old children on the Hoopa Reservation. As a Curriculum Specialist, Bussell is charged with implementing and designing all curriculum with the help of one assistant.

I work for Owens Valley Career Development Center a tribal consordium. working with revitaization of native languages. I give training on methodogy on both teaching and learning Native Languages. I have been working with up to 8 languages at once under ANA until Sept 2011. presently OVCDC services Paiute (3 dialects), Mono (2 dialects), Wukchumni and Yolumni, Tabatalabal, Kitamuk and Yaqui. I speak a Dene language daily, mostly Hupa and work with Mattole, Wailaki, Bear River, Redwood Creek and Tsenungxwe. I am a Hupa and Mattole Indian and member of the Yurok Tribe. I had 50 or more native teachers of Hupa for a beginning to this knowledge, starting with my Grandfather Clem I. Bussell Sr. and guided by my father Oswald N. Bussell. I used to teach Hupa on the Hoopa Reservation but now work with tribes here (Fresno, Tulare, Kings and Kern Counties) and even present on language methods, at conferences at times (CA Indian Ed. Confer. at H.S.U. most recent presentation). I have worked with a number of linguists over the years as a student and speaker, most notable is Victor Golla at H.S.U.
Everson Corrigan

EVERSON CORRIGAN, 2006 Journalism and Mass Communication, moved down to Santa Cruz after graduating from HSU, where he worked at KSCO and KOMY radio, both AM news-talk stations. In 2010, Corrigan became a proud father with the birth of Emily Rose Corrigan. In the winter of 2012 he returned to Humboldt and is currently the Account Manager at StreamGuys. StreamGuys is an Arcata-based Content Delivery Network, streaming clients’ content via live and on-demand video and audio, podcasting, subscription systems, and protected content. Customers include KRFH, KHSU and Lost Coast Communications' KHUM and KSLG.
Kevin Farley

Kevin Farley, 2006 Journalism, moved on to working within the Olympic Movement after a decade in TV news. Farley manages the website, social media and other communications for USA Weightlifting, the national governing body for the sport of Olympic Weightlifting in the United States.
Mellisa Hannum

Mellisa graduated with a B.A. in Journalism in 2005 and Liberal Studies/Elementary Education in 1999. She volunteered at many libraries including the Arcata Branch of the Humboldt County Public Library system. After working in many library roles in Nevada County, she was hired as the Branch Librarian for Coast Community Library in Mendocino County. Mellisa is now the Library Director for Mendocino County's public libraries. She works to support the Library's mission of enriching lives through free and equitable access to materials and programs centered on education, culture, and entertainment.
