Lee Checa-Valdez

Lee transferred to Humboldt in Fall of 2024 after graduating from a community college in his hometown, San Diego. He started attending school here and working as a Career Ambassador with the Career Development Center. He graduated with his B.A in Psychology Spring of 2026 and is now attending Humboldt as a graduate student in the Developmental Psychology program. He is excited to continue working with the Career Development Center and Umoja Center as he works to earn his Masters. 

Outside of work, he loves to perform in musicals and other forms of local theater. He also loves to clown around the town and watch all things horror and sci-fi!
