Rose Sita Francia, M.Ed.
Operations Coordinator and
Career Advisor for the College of Professional Studies
I am honored to serve as the Career Advisor for the College of Professional Studies and Operations Coordinator for the Career Development Center at Cal Poly Humboldt. I love to help students clarify goals, build professional confidence, and connect their strengths to internships and meaningful career opportunities.
With more than two decades of experience supporting students across K–16 educational settings, I bring a deep commitment to access, equity, and culturally responsive career education. Prior to this role, I led the TRIO Educational Talent Search program, a multi‑county college-access initiative; served as a grade school teacher and principal; and partnered closely with schools, tribal communities, and local organizations to expand opportunities for first‑generation, rural, and underserved students. Grounded in a belief in student potential, I am dedicated to helping learners explore pathways, build confidence, and take steps toward their career goals.
I earned my Master of Educational Leadership from Cal Poly Humboldt in 2012. Humboldt was my campus of choice for its commitment to people and the environment. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Culture, Ecology, and Sustainable Communities from New College of California, and I am proud to hold an Associate’s Degree in Transfer Studies from College of the Redwoods. I also maintain both an Administrative Services Credential and a Designated Subjects Teaching Credential.
My hobbies include cooking and playing music with my kids, community building, nature walks and gardening, dancing and yoga, and training for the annual small-town Crescent City Sprint Triathlon.
