Megan Jones Patterson

Wildlife, 2006

Megan Jones Patterson, Wildlife, 2006, recently completed her PhD in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology in Emily DuVal's lab at Florida State University. Her research focused on the costs and benefits of male cooperative display behavior in White-ruffed Manakins -- a small bird living in mid-elevations in Central America. She continues her work as a staff scientist and science educator with the National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON).

Trevor Keiber

Trevor Keiber, 2006 Physics & Astronomy, Chemistry, Math, is graduating in December 2015 with a Ph.D. in physics from UCSC, studying the structure of complex materials using X-ray spectroscopy. Keiber is currently seeking post-doctoral or assistant professor positions.

Daniel Menten, 2006 Fisheries BIology, is an author and fisheries scientist. Menten recently published “The New School Guide to Northern California Whitewater,” which documents 135 river descriptions covering the Klamath Mountains Geologic Province.

Kathryn Leigh Riley

Wildlife, 2006

Kathryn Riley recently joined the San Diego URS Corporation as a Wildlife Biologist. She is currently conducting wildlife surveys on alternative energy projects in the Sonoran and Mojave deserts of California. Her focus is on migratory birds, burrowing owls and the federally endangered desert tortoise.

Michael Fritschi, Environmental Resources Engineering, 2005, is currently enjoying working as the District Manager for the South Suburban Sanitary District in Southern Oregon. Life is exceptionally good, and in complete balance with his wife and jack Russell.

I received a Master of Arts in Special Education from SF State University in 2008 and now work as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor at Guide Dogs for the Blind in the SF Bay Area.

Danielle Cudahy (nee LeFever)

Danielle Cudahy (née LeFever), 2005 Biological Sciences, recently became the full-time Optometrist at the local Eureka VA office. In 2010, Cuday graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA. She is expecting her second child in late March.
