Complete your bachelors degree in Leadership Studies

Leadership Studies is a flexible, affordable CSU degree that is offered asynchronously online and meets the needs of local students who are working or unable to attend in-person courses. With accelerated, 8-week courses, most students graduate within two years, for under $20,000. The degree is state and federal financial aid eligible. 

What can I do with the degree in Leadership Studies?

A degree in Leadership Studies is designed to help you advance in a variety of careers, including entrepreneurs, private business, non-profit management, government, social services, healthcare, education, fire-fighting, and law enforcement, among others. The major is interdisciplinary and draws from psychology, sociology, communication, sustainability, business, and management disciplines.

All majors are encouraged to apply! Leadership Studies is relevant to a variety of fields of study. For instance, the Santa Rosa Junior College Associate of Science in Fire Technology, the Associate of Science in Fire Science - Company Officer, or the Administration of Justice are existing programs that create an ideal transfer pathway into the Cal Poly Humboldt Leadership Studies program. Associate of Science in Fire Technology

The Fire Technology Major at Santa Rosa Junior College provides practical and technical instruction to meet the requirements of various fire service agencies at the local, state, and federal levels. The program also prepares students for transfer to a four-year institution in order to pursue a career as a fire marshall, fire investigator, and other positions on the county, state, or federal level.

Associate of Science in Fire Science - Company Officer

The Fire Science - Company Officer degree at Santa Rosa Junior College is designed for students who have already obtained State Fire Training Firefighter II and provides the student with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to be a successful first-line supervisor. The program includes California State recognized coursework that directly benefits students who may wish to advance within the fire service to a supervisory position.

Administration of Justice

Upon completion of the Administration of Justice Associate in Science for Transfer degree at Santa Rosa Junior College, students will be able to understand interactions between citizens and the criminal justice system, determine whether a crime has occurred and respond appropriately, analyze crime scenes and properly handle evidence, and understand all stages of the justice process. This program is designed to provide a clear pathway to a CSU major and baccalaureate degree.
