Shasta College Pathway to Fully Online B.A. for Working Adults

New cohorts begin every fall and spring.
Leadership Studies is a flexible, affordable CSU degree that is offered asynchronously online and meets the needs of local students who are working or unable to attend in-person courses. With accelerated, 8-week courses, most students graduate within 2 years, for under $20,000. The degree is state and federal financial aid eligible.
What can I do with a degree in Leadership Studies? A degree in Leadership Studies is designed to help students advance in a variety of careers, including entrepreneurs, private business, non-profit management, government, social services, healthcare, education, fire-fighting, and law enforcement, among others. The major is interdisciplinary drawing from psychology, sociology, communication, sustainability, business, and management disciplines.

We are proud to partner with the ACE and BOLD programs at Shasta College to support working adults and transfer students interested in Leadership Studies.
Shasta College Accelerated College Education (ACE) Program: Designed for working adults, these certificate and associate’s degree options use online and hybrid classes in primarily 8-week compressed blocks to graduate faster. This cohort model and accelerated program is excellent preparation for Leadership Studies which has a similar structure and student population.
Bachelor's Through Online & Local Degrees (BOLD): This innovative program provides comprehensive support to Shasta College students pursuing an online bachelor's degree by helping prospective students to identify high-quality, affordable, regionally-accredited, and non-profit online degree programs and apply to them. You can find Leadership Studies under “General Studies/Organizational Leadership”.
Please Note: Many different disciplines and majors offer existing credentials that create an ideal transfer pathway into the Leadership Studies Program. Even if you have NOT completed an AA degree, you can still transfer! Likewise, other Associate Degrees for Transfer and/or Career Education programs from Shasta College also offer a pathway to Leadership Studies.
To be admitted, you must meet CSU Upper Division Transfer Admission Requirements, which include a minimum of 60 transferable units, 30 of which must be General Education completed with C- or better including the required Golden Four courses, an overall GPA of 2.0 or better and be in good academic standing at your last institution attended.
