Location & Environment
We are a fully equipped marine station located in the small coastal town of Trinidad, CA about 14 miles north of the Cal Poly Humboldt, 20 miles south of Redwood National Park, and 285 miles north of San Francisco.
The lab is situated in close proximity to rocky coastlines, quiet bays and lagoons, salt marshes, sandy beaches, and estuarine sloughs. The climate is maritime with cool wet winters and warmer dry summers with regular coastal fog.
