A.S. Lobbycorps
The Associated Students Lobbycorps is an advocacy group led by the A.S. External Affairs Officer. Together, students work to identify and problem-solve issues that face members of the campus community. Please email as-cssa@humboldt.edu with any questions.

The A.S. Board of Directors is comprised of students who are responsible for educating, allocating, and advocating on behalf of their constituents. These student leaders connect directly with university staff, faculty, and administration.

What is A.S. External Affairs?

AS External Affairs - The External Affairs program provides representation of Cal Poly Humboldt students to the California State Student Association which represents CSU students in all areas of higher education policy-making.
External Affairs also coordinates lobbying issues that affects Humboldt students, student voter registration and other civic engagement efforts.
What is CSSA?

The Cal State Student Association (CSSA) as a student-led organization strives to improve the lives of California State University (CSU) students by advocating for student needs and engaging students in systemwide, state, and federal higher education policymaking.
Student Involvement and Representation Fee (SIRF)
The SIRF is an optional $2/semester fee that directly funds the California State Student Association (CSSA) to advocate for student interests on tuition, financial aid, and academic policies. The CSSA's Board of Directors, all of whom are students at various CSU campuses, decide how SIRF dollars are allocated based on higher education issues designated as priority areas.

CSU Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is a 25-member board that adopts regulations and policies governing the entire CSU system. Board committees have authority over educational policy, finance, campus planning, and facilities, among other areas. To find out more about the Board of Trustees, Click Here!
