Ayan's Campaign Statement for the 2026 Elections: 

My name is Ayan Cabot, and I am a junior majoring in Political Science and minoring in International Studies. I am currently serving as your Executive Vice President of the Associated Students of Cal Poly Humboldt, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for your next A.S. President. 
My journey with A.S. began in a core program, where I had the privilege of connecting with a wide range of students who deeply care about our campus and community. That experience ignited my passion for this work. When I first stepped into the role of EVP, I had one goal and one mission: to ensure that students are leading students. Because of you, I had the
opportunity to help shape the leadership of our campus, connect with community leaders, work alongside our cultural centers, and collaborate with colleges across every part of our university. 
No matter the title, I have always been deeply proud to say that I represent the students of Cal Poly Humboldt. Now, I'm running for President because I believe in us, in our ideas, our passion, and our power. We are not just members of this university; we are its heartbeat, its voice, and its future. As your President, I will ensure students are always at the table, not because we have to be, but because we belong there. I want to ensure our leadership is diverse, inclusive, and
action-oriented toward finding real solutions to student needs. That is what makes us Humboldt. We have always stood for environmental stewardship. We have always honored our Indigenous peoples. We have always built community. And we have always been at the forefront of global issues. We are educating the next generation of leaders, who will carry forward the spirit of Humboldt and lead the change our world needs.
The future belongs to all of us. We are Humboldt. And with your support, I hope to continue the profound honor of serving you, as your next President.
