Armando Corral

First Year Practicum Student

Hello, my name is Armando Corral. I earned my BA in Studio Art from San Francisco State University. I am now a first-year graduate student in the Cal Poly Humboldt Counseling and Psychology Program. Before beginning my studies, I worked as a paraprofessional and Life Skills Coach, where I supported individuals with their confidence, emotional regulation, and development of living and social skills. My current focus is helping people live as authentically as possible through personal growth and understanding their own unique potentials. I hope to gain more experience and knowledge by working with diverse people from all backgrounds and by using my creativity to engage in more holistic and mindful ways of approaching therapy. I am interested in integrating art, breathwork, and mindfulness practices to have clients feel connected with their emotions and be in the present moment.

Some of my hobbies include being in nature, running, practicing martial arts, painting, and practicing different meditations.
